Every NDA starts with familiar questions, but the wrong shortcut creates variation exactly where consistency matters. RCDEN turned that repeated administration into a local-first desktop workflow that guides the decision, records the source and leaves approval with a person.
The problem was variation—not typing
An NDA is not just a template with names inserted. The right starting point depends on the parties, what is being discussed, whether disclosure is one-way or mutual, and the controls the company expects around its information. Repeating that assessment by hand creates avoidable variation.
A workflow, not a template picker
The internal application guides an authorised user through structured questions, selects from controlled clauses and records the basis of the generated document. It is designed to run locally on a controlled management PC rather than depend on a public document-generation service for its ordinary workflow.
Equivalent approved inputs should produce an equivalent draft.
Clause source and document state remain visible to the operator.
The core workflow stays on the company-managed device.
Built to fail safely
The application is built with Electron, React, TypeScript and a local SQL data layer. Its engineering controls include schema migration, input validation, atomic database replacement, quarantine of corrupted state and automated build testing. These measures improve reliability; they are not presented as a certification or a guarantee that software alone can make a legal decision.
Final review, approval and signature remain human responsibilities. The system helps a competent person start from a controlled position and spend attention on the exceptions, not on repeatedly assembling the same document.
Current scopeThis is an internal RCDEN development system. It is not a public product, not legal advice and not a substitute for authorised legal or director review.
A reusable operating pattern
The value extends beyond one document. The same pattern—controlled source material, explicit decisions, versioned outputs and a clear human approval point—can support other company workflows without turning them into opaque automation.
We build focused tools when they give our team stronger control, better evidence and less repetitive administration.
