A clear explanation of what is used to deliver this website, what remains optional and how to change your choice at any time.
Who controls your information
THE RC DEN LTD is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 14639255. Our registered office is Unit 8 Blackwood Court, Lincoln, England, LN6 3AE.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to sales@rcden.co.uk.
What we collect and why
This website has no user accounts or customer software downloads. Public policy PDFs can be read without registering. The technology-partnership enquiry builder works in your browser: information entered there is not uploaded to RCDEN or stored by the website. Choosing “Prepare email” opens your own email application with the brief filled in, and you decide whether to send it.
If you email us, including through a brief prepared by the enquiry builder, we receive the details you choose to send, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. We use them to assess and answer your enquiry, discuss a potential project and keep necessary business records.
Our hosting provider may also process basic technical data, such as IP address, browser information, requested page and request time, to deliver the site, prevent abuse and maintain security.
Links may include campaign labels. The website does not send URL query strings or fragments in its page-view measurements. Enquiry-builder text is not sent to Google Analytics.
Storage and optional services
The hosting platform may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technology for security, traffic routing and reliable delivery. These do not require consent when they are essential to provide the website.
RCDEN uses the necessary rcden_consent_v1 cookie to remember your choice for up to 183 days. It contains a random preference identifier, a decision identifier, the notice version, time, how you chose, and whether analytics is allowed. These identifiers are pseudonymous and are not sent to Google.
We also keep a protected consent record on our hosting platform: the identifiers, decision, receipt time, service and the wording shown when you chose. There is no public access to these records. We do not add your IP address, browser identifier or enquiry text to this consent record. The hosting provider may keep separate security logs as described above.
Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, measures page visits and site use. It can process cookie identifiers, device and browser details and information about how you use the site. Google receives the network connection when its tag is loaded. Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. Analytics cookie lifetimes are not refreshed on each visit. See Google’s privacy information and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Microsoft UET are not active on this website. Social links open the relevant service only when you choose to follow them; they are not embedded tracking widgets.
With analytics consent, we also measure contact-link clicks and a fixed set of public campaign labels used on our shared links. Contact-link clicks do not confirm that an enquiry was sent. We do not send enquiry text or contact details in these events. Page addresses sent by our measurement code omit query strings and fragments; campaign labels are checked against a fixed list.
Consent and withdrawal
Analytics is off by default. Accept, reject and customise have equal prominence and do not block access to the website. We load analytics only after your consent has been recorded and your browser has saved the preference. If saving fails, analytics stays off. We ask again when a choice expires or the service, purpose or notice version changes.
RCDEN uses Google Basic Consent Mode: optional Google tags are not loaded and no denied-mode measurement ping is sent before the relevant choice.
You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer of every page. Choose Reject analytics or switch analytics off and save. We immediately disable further Analytics events, send Google a denied-consent signal, remove accessible analytics cookies and reload the page. Other open tabs receive the changed choice; tabs returning from the background check it again. Withdrawal stops future collection; it does not automatically delete data already processed. Contact us for a deletion request.
Lawful bases and sharing
RCDEN relies on legitimate interests to secure and operate the website, respond to business enquiries and keep necessary records. Steps requested before entering a contract may also apply. Optional audience measurement relies on consent. We retain consent evidence to demonstrate the choices we act on.
Information is shared only with providers needed to host the website or deliver company email, with a measurement vendor you have allowed, with professional advisers where necessary, or where disclosure is required by law.
Some optional vendors may process information outside the UK. Where activated, RCDEN will use the vendor’s applicable UK data terms and an appropriate transfer safeguard where required.
Retention
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry, manage any resulting business relationship, meet legal obligations or establish and defend legal claims. Technical logs follow the hosting provider’s security and operational retention periods.
The website preference and Analytics cookies expire after up to 183 days. Consent evidence becomes eligible for deletion after 12 months and is automatically removed when the next consent decision is recorded. If the site is inactive, this cleanup may occur later. Cookie expiry is separate from data already held in Google Analytics; contact us about that data or a deletion request.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or ask us to restrict or stop certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
