RCDEN's Armed Forces Covenant pledge has been formally registered by Defence Relationship Management. Signed on 19 June 2026, it records our commitment to uphold the Covenant and support the Armed Forces community as the company grows.
What the Covenant means
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families should be treated fairly and with respect in the communities, economy and society they support.
For RCDEN, this commitment fits naturally with our work in UK defence and engineering. The capability of the Armed Forces depends on people, and responsible support for that community must extend beyond the systems we design.
Our registered pledgeWe recognise the contribution that regular and reserve personnel, veterans and military families make to our organisation, our community and the country.
Turning the pledge into practice
The Covenant is described as a living document. As RCDEN recruits and develops its people policies, we will use it as an active reference point rather than a one-off statement. That means keeping recruitment fair, understanding the needs of the Armed Forces community and reviewing where proportionate support can be built into the way the company operates.
Our immediate next steps are to make the pledge publicly accessible, communicate the commitment as the team grows and review the supporting practices needed to evidence it properly.
Employer Recognition Scheme
Formal registration of the Covenant makes RCDEN eligible to apply for a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze award. The scheme recognises organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support for defence and the Armed Forces community.
Eligibility is not the same as holding the award. RCDEN will only describe itself as a Bronze award holder if and when an application has been completed, assessed and confirmed.
